March 12th 2020

In alignment with Governor DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health's recommendation issued on March 11, 2020, to slow the spread of the Coronavirus, the Northwestern Ohio Volunteer Fireman's Association President and Board of Directors along with the Annual Regional Fire School's chairman has made the difficult decision to cancel this year's NOVFA Regional Fire School that was to be held March 21st-22nd at Penta Career Center in Perrysburg, Ohio. The NOVFA's primary concern is for the safety of first responders and their families as well as maintaining their ability to help the citizens of Northwest Ohio. The NOVFA feels that it is important to follow the Governor's recommendations to avoid mass gatherings when possible to help reduce the impact of this virus on our first responders and citizens.

The NOVFA looks forward to working with our new partner, the Penta Career Center, to provide comprehensive training to our Northwest Ohio firefighters and emergency medical technicians at the 2021 Annual Regional Fire School.

Dave Miller, NOVFA President

Jeff Orphal, NOVFA Fire School Chair
